# Installation and distribution of WEB PKI components via GPO

To distribute the plugins automatically, extract the files from the ZIP
([webpki-ext-2.16.0.zip](https://cdn.lacunasoftware.com/webpki/webpki-ext-2.16.0.zip)) to a **shared folder** that all users can access.

As an example, we will use the **shared folder** `C:\shared\webpki-ext`

## Automatic distribution of the Chrome plugin

Create a key with the path `HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Google\Chrome\Extensions\dcngeagmmhegagicpcmpinaoklddcgon`

Add the following *String Values*:

```text
Name: update_url
Data: https://clients2.google.com/service/update2/crx
```

```text
Name: path
Data: C:\shared\webpki-ext\webpki-chrome-ext.crx
```

```text
Name: version
Data: 2.15.0
```

As shown in the image below:

Create a key with the path `HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google\Chrome\ExtensionInstallForcelist`

And add a *String Value*:

```text
Name: 1 (or the next sequential integer if there are already entries)
Data: dcngeagmmhegagicpcmpinaoklddcgon;https://clients2.google.com/service/update2/crx
```

## Automatic distribution of the Firefox plugin

Create a key with the path `HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox\Extensions\Install`

And add a *String Value*:

```text
Name: 1 (or the next sequential integer if there are already entries)
Data: C:\shared\webpki-ext\webpki-firefox-ext.xpi
```

Download the MSI installer from the link below and distribute it through GPO:

https://get.webpkiplugin.com/downloads/latest/setup-win-en
