# Checking the version of GeCert

In order to check the installed version of your [on-premises instance](https://docs.lacunasoftware.com/en-us/articles/gecert/on-premises) of [GeCert](https://docs.lacunasoftware.com/en-us/articles/gecert), access the following URL from a
web browser:

```text
https://your-gecert-address/api/system/info
```

The system will return a JSON with the version, for instance: 

```json
{"productName":"Gecert","productVersion":"1.x.x"}
```

The version of the [Gecert Connect](https://docs.lacunasoftware.com/en-us/articles/gecert/gecert-connect) installed on a computer is shown under **Settings** > **Advanced Settings**,
together with the version of the server it is connected to.
