# Post-installation steps - Amplia Reg

After installing your [on premises](https://docs.lacunasoftware.com/en-us/articles/amplia-reg/on-premises) instance of [Amplia Reg](https://docs.lacunasoftware.com/en-us/articles/amplia-reg), follow the these steps to prepare the instance for usage.

Start by signing in to Amplia Reg. As part of this process, you will need to register, thus creating the very first user account.

Then:

1. Run the [command-line tool](https://docs.lacunasoftware.com/en-us/articles/amplia-reg/on-premises/tool) with the command `init-data` passing the `Id` of the CA on Amplia that will be used to issue end-user certificates
1. Restart the service

On Linux:

```sh
dotnet /usr/share/ampliareg/Lacuna.AmpliaRegNg.Site.dll -- init-data ID_OF_YOUR_AMPLIA_CA
systemctl restart ampliareg
```

> **Tip**
>
> If you haven't created the Amplia CA to issue end-user certificates yet, please refer to Amplia's [Operation Guide](https://docs.lacunasoftware.com/en-us/articles/amplia/operation) to
> create either a [root CA](https://docs.lacunasoftware.com/en-us/articles/amplia/operation/create-root-ca) or an [intermediate CA](https://docs.lacunasoftware.com/en-us/articles/amplia/operation/create-intermediate-ca).

If you [configured OIDC](https://docs.lacunasoftware.com/en-us/articles/amplia-reg/on-premises/settings/configure-oidc), this is the time to [disable user sign up](https://docs.lacunasoftware.com/en-us/articles/amplia-reg/on-premises/settings/configure-oidc#disable-sign-up).
